Materials Management Supervisor supervises daily operations and planning to optimize the flow of raw materials, supplies, and equipment from initial procurement to the final disposition and fulfill material requirements for volume, cost, and scheduling business operations. Uses material requirement plans to ensure the required flow of materials is maintained. Being a Materials Management Supervisor coordinates procurement, warehouse, and distribution operations and staffing to enable workflows crucial to the flow of materials. Troubleshoots and resolves operational roadblocks. Additionally, Materials Management Supervisor may require a bachelor's degree in area of specialty. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Materials Management Supervisor supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. To be a Materials Management Supervisor typically requires 3-5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. Delivers food from the area of preparation to the serving area. The position will be responsible for ascertaining that guests are satisfied with the menu items, providing beverages and re-fills as needed as well as providing condiments and other items the guests may request. The position is responsible for bussing tables, and re-setting tables following meal service as well as pouring beverages and setting up tables prior to each meal service.
Essential Position Duties
Provide beverages-refill as needed
Ensure that condiment containers are clean and filled.
Obtain meal selection from resident and deliver meal selection to cook for service.
Deliver filled containers to serve-out stations
Assist with plating food in the kitchen, as needed.
Assist with food preparation as needed.
Run dishwashing machine.
Maintain infection control standards.
Wash, rinse, and sanitize tables and chairs.
Refill utensils, plates, and any additional paper products
Reset tables.
Performs other tasks/duties as assigned.
