Materials Manager manages the raw material planning processes to ensure an organization operates efficiently. Ensures raw materials are available to meet designated production schedules. Being a Materials Manager utilizes MRP system to manage material planning from purchasing, processing, warehousing, and production. Develops forecasts for raw material needs by considering purchases, production rates, and maintenance schedules. Additionally, Materials Manager coordinates with stakeholders in purchasing and inventory control when adjustments are needed and troubleshoots complex issues as necessary. Maintains supplier relationships and may negotiate lead times. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. POSITION SUMMARY:
Responsible for supporting the operational, tactical, and strategic direction of Resolve Surgical’s domestic “in house” supply chain and materials management functions. Supports activities in the following areas: capacity analysis of the plant, demand and operations planning, strategic sourcing and purchasing, and inventory control. The Manager of Supply Chain and Materials drives material processes to meet daily customer demand in support of on-time delivery.
KEY JOB REQUIREMENTS:
• Executes on strategic objectives of the materials management function and how it relates to the overall strategic objectives of the company.
• Supports budget targets and spend management as it relates to the materials management function.
• Executes on and supports implementation of processes and procedures surrounding inventory that aim to match supply and demand while, where appropriate, applying the lean methodology including pull systems and throughput.
• Ensures the accuracy of quantity and location of inventory within Resolve Surgical.
• Partner with cross functional leads to promote overall inventory accuracy across all of Resolve Surgical’ s possible inventory locations.
• Continuously evaluate the plant operations, production planning and material workflow for increased throughput and productivity.
• Collaborates across functions to promote problem solving and cost reduction.
• Promote effective cross functional communication and customer service mentality as it applies to both internal and external customers.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED AND/OR PREFERRED:
• Bachelors degree in business or technical field such as Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or Operations Management
• 6 years of experience in a manufacturing environment – procurement, inventory management, or operations with solid understanding of manufacturing processes and techniques.
• Working knowledge and experience with SAMP
• Solid business acumen
• Lean and/or Six Sigma experience.
