Materials Manager manages the raw material planning processes to ensure an organization operates efficiently. Ensures raw materials are available to meet designated production schedules. Being a Materials Manager utilizes MRP system to manage material planning from purchasing, processing, warehousing, and production. Develops forecasts for raw material needs by considering purchases, production rates, and maintenance schedules. Additionally, Materials Manager coordinates with stakeholders in purchasing and inventory control when adjustments are needed and troubleshoots complex issues as necessary. Maintains supplier relationships and may negotiate lead times. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Materials Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Materials Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required. Summary: The Senior Manager of Strategy & Business Development is responsible for formulating and implementing a long-term strategy as well as creating tactical plans to achieve desired targets. This includes delivering revenue growth through expanding competitive share in existing markets, introducing new innovative products, globalizing existing product portfolio, and/or penetrating new markets. The Senior Manager will provide leadership and direction to their team which supports the Sealing team within the broader division, the Insulation, Sealing & Construction (ISC) Group. The ideal candidate has a proven track record with exceptional commercial acumen paired with solid operational and technical backgrounds. This role is a key member of the Sealing leadership team and will work closely with the Sealing General Manager. Responsibilities: Growth Strategy: Identify and drive large scale, strategic opportunities for ISC, both domestically and internationally, and develop actionable plans to execute on these opportunities to enable long-term growth. Develop and execute a growth strategy based on understanding of customer needs, industry and competitive dynamics, and Alkegen position. Work with stakeholders to drive execution supporting overall business strategy processes. Serve as Project Lead for multiple strategic initiatives, and will be expected to thoroughly detail all problems, organize cross-functional teams, and propose and manage timely analyses with predetermined milestones. Opportunity Identification and Execution: Develop strategic insights and identify new growth areas for Alkegen aligned with the core trends driving Sealing’s end markets. Evaluate new market and technology business opportunities including competitive and financial analysis to underpin the business opportunities within a defined timetable. Manage the pipeline of new growth opportunities aligned with these trends and markets. Own and drive strategic initiatives through concept, management alignment, and execution. Business Development: Work closely with customers, partners, cross-functional stakeholders, and executive leaders in the development and execution of growth strategies, with special attention on application-focused growth. Understand target applications, customers/ecosystem, building & validating strategies, and subsequently executing them to enable profitable growth. Demonstrate structured thinking, mapping of applications to customers and regions, rigor in measuring revenue/pipeline. M&A Activity: Identify inorganic growth opportunities for Alkegen. Landscape Analysis: conduct primary commercial diligence for new markets/white space and lead development of post-closing integration plans. Pipeline development.
