Materials Manager manages the raw material planning processes to ensure an organization operates efficiently. Ensures raw materials are available to meet designated production schedules. Being a Materials Manager utilizes MRP system to manage material planning from purchasing, processing, warehousing, and production. Develops forecasts for raw material needs by considering purchases, production rates, and maintenance schedules. Additionally, Materials Manager coordinates with stakeholders in purchasing and inventory control when adjustments are needed and troubleshoots complex issues as necessary. Maintains supplier relationships and may negotiate lead times. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Materials Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ready-Mix Trucker Driver
The ready-mix truck driver is responsible for delivering concrete to job sites, following all safety and operational guidelines.This position also evaluates concrete for quality and size according to the ticket. Also, this position maintains courteous customer relations and any other duties as instructed by supervisor.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES and TASKS:
- Conduct a thorough safety inspection daily and fill out required paperwork.
- Complete deliveries of concrete in a timely and courteous manor.
- Maintain positive relationships with both internal and external customers.
- Make sure correct material and weight is loaded in the truck.
- Communicate repair and safety issues to supervisor and/or mechanic.
- Maintain performance objectives throughout the day.
- Other job duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of two years of operating experience.
- Ability to work overtime as needed.
- Current Class B CDL with no suspensions, failure to appear, etc.
- Valid medical card.
- Ability to work overtime as needed.
- Frequently lift 10 pounds; occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to sit and stand for extended time, walking, stooping, kneeling, climbing and balancing.
