Materials Manager manages the raw material planning processes to ensure an organization operates efficiently. Ensures raw materials are available to meet designated production schedules. Being a Materials Manager utilizes MRP system to manage material planning from purchasing, processing, warehousing, and production. Develops forecasts for raw material needs by considering purchases, production rates, and maintenance schedules. Additionally, Materials Manager coordinates with stakeholders in purchasing and inventory control when adjustments are needed and troubleshoots complex issues as necessary. Maintains supplier relationships and may negotiate lead times. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Materials Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Materials Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required.     Element has an opportunity for a Business Development Manager responsible for named accounts within a specific geographic area. The Business Development Manager (BDM) is located in Seattle. The BDM will manage and sell into an established book of business as well as develop new business and accounts in a defined geographical area. In this role you will sell the full breadth of Element services within your accounts in order to meet assigned budgets.

    Salary: $80K-$100K Sales Comp

     

    Responsibilities

    • Establish and Proactively maintain a strong professional relationship with key decision makers and influencers within assigned accounts
    • Drive Profitable Sales Expansion with a focus on acquiring new and re-engaging with dormant accounts, while growing existing clients
    • Gather and Analyze market and industry intelligence, metrics, and trends to determine customer needs
    • Represent company at industry association meetings to promote company with services offered
    • Prepare reports and presentations showing sales volume by sector, region, location, potential sales, and areas of proposed client base expansion
    • Actively utilize CRM to record activities, ensuring contact details are accurate, duplicates are removed, new information is added, and accurate call/visit logs are entered

    • 5 years of technical experience with Sales responsibilities
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Applications (Dynamics AX and CRM, Word, Excel)
    • Well-developed oral and written communication skills to meet a variety of communication needs
    • Ability to interface with clients, win new work and determine their requirements; helps develops proposals including cost estimates, work plan and terms and conditions
    • Ability to travel up to 50% of the time; some overnight travel may be required
