Typically reports to top management. Requires registered nurse (RN). The Maternity Services Director typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments.     WHAT YOU'LL DO

    The Director of Program (Residential Treatment CORP Seattle) is responsible for the overall management, program integrity, planning, coordination, budgeting, financial reporting, program auditing, personnel management, customer relations, and other supervisory functions at the identified facilities. The Director is responsible for meeting and exceeding the expectations of our external customers, including the state’s Department of Health, Behavioral Health Organizations, and Managed Care Organizations.  The Director is to establish program direction and policy, monitor the management of the program’s resources, and the coordination of overall service delivery and personnel administration.

    PRIMARY/ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Service Delivery

    • Monitors clinical record system; ensures delivery of effective interventions and evidence-based practices including treatment and continuing care planning.
    • Monitors facility and residential services delivery systems that includes overall treatment milieu.
    • Assesses appropriateness of all residents in program including supervising the intake process, and participates as needed.
    • Seek opportunities to expand service delivery.
    • Competency related to diversity and cultural issues.
    • Collaborates with both site and community partners

     

    Fiscal Responsibility

    • Actively participates in the annual budget process, including building the program budget.
    • Maintain a full understanding of the programs budget.
    • Review budget reports monthly and know why program is or is not meeting budget expectations.
    • Implement action plans in place to respond to budget irregularities.

     

     

     

     

    Personnel Development and Supervision

    • Institutes corrective action when needed for any quality assurance issue.
    • Establishes staffing plan standards.
    • Establishes personnel management processes pertaining to selection, orientation, training, supervision, termination, and evaluation of program staff.
    • Establishes policies and procedures that provide the occasion for maximizing the safety and welfare of the residents, staff and visitors to the program.

     

    Personnel Development and Staffing

    • Supervises the hiring and performance of all direct reports; evaluates the performance of program operations and takes appropriate personnel action as a result.
    • Ensures all program staff members are sufficiently trained and there are qualified personnel to ensure the safety and security of the client/resident population at all times.
    • Guides and supports the development and implementation of a competency-based approach to staff training and professional development in alignment with Division-wide initiatives and priorities.

     

    Quality Assurance

    • Maintains quality of care consistent with or exceeding standards set by State of Washington regulations, and any other accrediting and/or contracting bodies.
    • Monitors the compilation and delineation of the program's outcome measures
    • Reviews all contracts pertaining to purchases of program services, as directed Orients and monitors the supervision of medical consultants under contract to program.
    • Ensures nursing staff are operating within medical scope.
    • Approves all program policies and procedures.
    • Monitors program licensing and certifications.
    • Leads Group and other Team meetings as necessary.

     

    Communication and Collaboration

    • Provides information presentations to enhance program image and further integrate the program within Pioneer Human Services and the community-at-large.
    • Provides consultation and makes educational presentations on behalf of the company and program, and engages in other activities that contribute to the field of behavioral health.
    • Promotes and models teamwork and collaboration with co-workers.

    Performs other duties as assigned.

    QUALIFICATIONS:
    REQUIRED

    • Master's Degree or higher in Behavioral Health, Human Services, or similar field OR
    • Bachelor’s degree in Behavioral Health, Human Services or similar field AND meets requirements for SUDP supervisor per WAC 246-811-049 including valid licensing with the Washington State Department of Health OR
    • Bachelor’s degree in Behavioral Health, Human Services or similar field AND meets requirements for Mental Health Supervisor, per WAC 246-809-234 including valid licensing with the Washington State Department of Health
    • At least 3 years of progressive supervisory and/or management/leadership experience in the human services, health care, or substance use disorder field.
    • Experience working with individuals with multiple co-morbid conditions and related disciplines.
    • Formal Training in management/program administrations and clinical supervision
    • Experience in budget preparation, program development, and state licensing.

     

    PREFERRED/DESIRABLE

    • Dual credential as MHP and SUDP in the state of Washington pursuant to RCW 71.05.
    • RN with license in good standing in Washington State.

    Experience in residential treatment and/or formal training in management/program administration and substance use

     

    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

    Demonstrate competency, good judgment, and self-control in the presence of clients and when performing duties. Have the skills and ability to work successfully with the special needs of the clients in our care and have effective communication and problem-solving skills with clients, internal staff, and providers in the community.

    Duties require the use of standard office furniture and equipment (e.g., desk, filing cabinet, laptop computer, printer, telephone, cellular phone, fax machine, copy machine, etc.)  Ability to use MS Office and other work related software.
