Coordinates activities related to labor, delivery, recovery, postpartum, and the baby nursery. Being a Maternity Services Director manages the departments operating budget and measures performance using standards established by the hospital. May direct community outreach programs to deliver women's health information and education. Additionally, Maternity Services Director requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to top management. Requires registered nurse (RN). The Maternity Services Director typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. We are currently seeking a temporary full time art teacher grades Prekindergarten - 12 to cover for a maternity leave, beginning approximately mid January to the beginning of April. Responsibilities include creating art lesson ideas and teaching those lessons to classes in Pre-k through high school.
Experience and Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in education or a related field; advanced degree(s) preferable, not required
Teaching certification required.
Patience, flexibility, and a sense of humor
A solid understanding of child development, varied learning styles, and effective strategies for dealing with such differences
Well-developed, effective classroom management skills
Strong organization skills
Excellent communication skills - verbal and written
Works well in a collaborative model with other administrators, teachers, and parents
Ability to engage and inspire students, parents, and families
Salary is commensurate with experience.
