We are currently seeking a temporary full time art teacher grades Prekindergarten - 12 to cover for a maternity leave, beginning approximately mid January to the beginning of April. Responsibilities include creating art lesson ideas and teaching those lessons to classes in Pre-k through high school. 

Experience and Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in education or a related field; advanced degree(s) preferable, not required

Teaching certification required.

Patience, flexibility, and a sense of humor

A solid understanding of child development, varied learning styles, and effective strategies for dealing with such differences

Well-developed, effective classroom management skills

Strong organization skills

Excellent communication skills - verbal and written

Works well in a collaborative model with other administrators, teachers, and parents

Ability to engage and inspire students, parents, and families

Salary is commensurate with experience. 

Reports to: Principal of Lower School Division
