Maternity Services Director is responsible for the maternity unit and all sub-unit operations and staffing. Coordinates activities related to labor, delivery, recovery, postpartum, and the baby nursery. Being a Maternity Services Director manages the departments operating budget and measures performance using standards established by the hospital. May direct community outreach programs to deliver women's health information and education. Additionally, Maternity Services Director requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to top management. Requires registered nurse (RN). The Maternity Services Director typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments. This position reports to the Principal or Assistant Principal.
The salary range for this role starts at $68,000.
