What your job will be like:

As a Sr. Designer, will support the design effort for internal, high technology projects working with Engineers and Scientists. This position calls for a mechanical designer who is self-motivated and has a proven track record of generating complex designs such as magnets, structures, testing equipment, mechanisms, machine components, vacuum equipment, electromechanical devices, piping systems, and cryostats. May be tasked to follow projects through purchasing, fabrication, and installation.

In this role you will:

• Be required to plan work assignments and maintain schedule and may be required to supervise other designers
• Produce accurate 3D CAD models for complex systems and components using Siemen's NX and Teamcenter PDM as well as clear-to-read piece part drawings, manufacturing drawings, and P&IDs
• Turn concepts and ideas into working assemblies and systems with independent thinking
  

Qualifications We Require:

• High School Diploma

• 9 years of relevant experience

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Demonstrates advanced knowledge of design and drafting techniques with Siemens NX CAD software to create complex models and drawings of components and assemblies.,
• Works in a group environment and occasionally independently, to produce models and drawings.,
• Ability to identify problems of moderate complexity. Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing. May also be required to present design reviews.,
• Must have practical, hands-on experience producing orthographic mechanical and fabrication drawings.,
• Must be able to check the work of other designers and be familiar with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing.,
• Performs work with minimal supervision and be able to supervise other designers.,
