Mechanic Technician jobs in Richmond, VA

Mechanic Technician maintains and services a building or plant's mechanical equipment, control systems, power distribution systems, and HVAC systems. Performs preventative maintenance and routine repairs to systems and equipment. Being a Mechanic Technician conducts periodic safety and maintenance inspections to evaluate equipment for replacement and identify wear and damage. Uses technical diagrams, blueprints, and schematics to install, troubleshoot, calibrate, and repair equipment, engines, and compressors. Additionally, Mechanic Technician orders parts needed for replacement and coordinates with service providers to complete maintenance tasks. Uses a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) or work order system to track and document activities. Follows established safety procedures and regulations for hazardous materials handling. May have completed a trade apprenticeship or technical training. Requires a high school diploma. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Mechanic Technician works under the close direction of senior personnel in the functional area. Possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job.     Low Voltage Cable Technicians at Next Level Technician will be working at a variety of Commercial and Industrial sites. These sites can include schools, hospitals, offices, retail stores, and industrial plants and warehouses. Each site and scope of work will be unique and add to the skillset and knowledge of the Low Voltage Cable Technician!

    Low Voltage Cable Technician job duties will include, but are not limited to:

    • Pulling, terminating, dressing, testing, and labeling CAT5e, CAT6, CAT6a, and Fiber data cables.
    • Installing and terminating racks, cable trays, patch panels, cabinets, MDF/IDF, workstation outlets, firestopping etc.
    • Experience with Access Control/CCTV installs
    • Fluke experience
