Mechanic Technician jobs in Spokane, WA
Mechanic Technician maintains and services a building or plant's mechanical equipment, control systems, power distribution systems, and HVAC systems. Performs preventative maintenance and routine repairs to systems and equipment. Being a Mechanic Technician conducts periodic safety and maintenance inspections to evaluate equipment for replacement and identify wear and damage. Uses technical diagrams, blueprints, and schematics to install, troubleshoot, calibrate, and repair equipment, engines, and compressors. Additionally, Mechanic Technician orders parts needed for replacement and coordinates with service providers to complete maintenance tasks. Uses a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) or work order system to track and document activities. Follows established safety procedures and regulations for hazardous materials handling. May have completed a trade apprenticeship or technical training. Requires a high school diploma. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Mechanic Technician works under the close direction of senior personnel in the functional area. Possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. YOUR DAY-TO-DAY
You'll typically work a full-time Monday through Friday schedule between 8 AM and 5 PM, where your days are filled with the excitement of diagnosing and repairing vehicles. From conducting thorough vehicle inspections to utilizing your diagnostic skills to troubleshoot known issues, you play a pivotal role in ensuring our customers get safely back on the road. Your collaboration with the service advisor and meticulous documentation of findings contribute to the seamless functioning of our repair services. QUALIFICATIONS FOR OUR DIAGNOSTIC MECHANIC - AUTO TECHNICIAN
- Experience in the automotive repair industry
- Current ASE Master certification
- Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot car problems
- Valid driver's license and a good driving record
Having experience with OEM diagnostic scan tools (primarily Ford, Chrysler, and GM) is a plus!
