We are seeking a CAD Designer to join our team. The ideal candidate must represent our company well by being responsible, punctual and motivated. You must also be highly detail-oriented and organized with excellent analytic and problem-solving abilities. It is also important that you display excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.

Essential Job Functions & Duties:

• Create Sheet Metal based 3D models in Autodesk Inventor and create related blueprints for fabrication and assembly
• Create programs/nests in AutoCAD for laser cutting
• Work closely with CAD Team, Project Managers, Customers to ensure that drawings convey the correct information
• Self-review own work for completeness & accuracy
• Responsible for some basic design elements
• Work from drawings, sketches or scanned images, customer drawings, and specifications
• Ensure all aspects of company policy and procedures in regards to good business and department practices are followed
• Perform other duties as required

Qualifications:

• Comfortable with operating and understanding windows based PC application software
• Ability to read blueprints and a familiarity with drafting/engineering practices and methods

Education and/or Experience:

• Sufficient CAD training or work experience
• Experience with Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD is desirable
• Shop experience (sheet metal fabrication) is also favorable
