Job Description:

We are seeking a proactive and enthusiastic individual to join our team as an Itinerary Designer. As a key support member of our travel agency, you will work closely with our travel agents to ensure the smooth operation of all travel arrangements and bookings. This role offers an exciting opportunity to gain valuable experience in the travel industry and contribute to creating unforgettable travel experiences for our clients.

Responsibilities:

1. Assist travel agents in researching, planning, and booking travel arrangements including flights, accommodations, transportation, and activities.
2. Communicate with clients via phone, email, and in-person to gather information about their travel preferences and requirements.
3. Provide excellent customer service by addressing client inquiries, resolving issues, and offering recommendations to enhance their travel experiences.
4. Maintain accurate records of client bookings, payments, and itineraries using our booking systems and databases.
5. Coordinate with travel suppliers, such as airlines, hotels, and tour operators, to secure reservations and negotiate competitive rates.
6. Assist in preparing travel documents, including tickets, vouchers, and travel itineraries, ensuring all necessary information is provided to clients.
7. Stay informed about travel industry trends, destination updates, and travel regulations to provide up-to-date information and recommendations to clients.
8. Collaborate with team members to ensure all administrative tasks are completed efficiently and deadlines are met.
9. Assist with marketing initiatives, such as promoting special travel packages and deals, to attract new clients and retain existing ones.
10. Perform other duties as assigned to support the overall operation of the travel agency.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or training in travel and tourism is a plus.
• Previous experience in customer service, administrative support, or a related field is preferred.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact professionally with clients and colleagues.
• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
• Proficiency in using computer systems and travel booking software
• A passion for travel and a desire to learn and grow within the travel industry.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, to accommodate client needs and peak travel seasons.
• Fluency in additional languages is a bonus.
