The Mechanical Engineering Designer will work collaboratively to support clients and internal teams within complex multi-discipline engineering projects. The ideal candidate will have a rich history in delivering mechanical design projects and a keen interest in design, construction, financials, contracts, and schedules. They will also support facility condition assessments, energy audits and other asset advisory services as needed.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Core functions:
· The Mechanical Engineer will support projects related to commercial, institutional, and municipal and state government design projects.
· The Mechanical Engineer will also be responsible for project management, design, HVAC load calculations, Title 24 modeling studies, energy audits, facilities condition assessments, construction administration, plan review, and plan check.
· This project-related work will also include the preparation of contract plans and specifications, cost estimates, technical reports/studies, proposals, meetings, and presentations.
· This role requires an ability to work on projects from concept stage through construction.
· The ideal candidate must also be able to lead design teams and review teams, and also be able to manage people within his/her team.
· The Manager will also be required to interface directly with clients and be able to fully communicate and address clients’ problems, questions, and comments in a clear, professional manner.
· The incumbent must be able to execute duties in a “work-share” environment.
In addition, you will:
· Enhance professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies.
· Protect operations by keeping company information confidential.
· Deliver outstanding customer service through timely response and proactive solutions to clients needs.

QUALIFICATIONS:
:
o Required: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
o Required: 3 years’ experience in building design of institutional, educational, healthcare, public, and private development.
o Preferred: Proficiency in REVIT.
o Preferred: Familiarity with California projects and codes.
o Must have the ability to work independently, as well as with a team, with minimal supervision.

o Preferred: Mechanical PE license in the state of California.
o Required: Valid driver's license with no significant MVA points/violations (clean driving record).
o Preferred: LEED credentials
