Being a Mechanical Engineer identifies appropriate materials and processes to ensure the quality, performance, and manufacturability of products. Uses CAD software and other design and modeling tools to develop and improve parts and products. Additionally, Mechanical Engineer conducts analysis and tests to determine weaknesses and failures in prototypes or products. Requires a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering. Read and decipher blue prints for installation of equipment.
Fabricate miscellaneous supports, chutes, etc.
Understand project logistics and project schedule to coordinate manpower and daily tasks efficiently.
Develop progressive punch list items to be completed within the project schedule.
Maintain professional standing with the customer while giving daily updates on project status or coordinating shutdowns and tie ins to the facilities utilities and process equipment.
