Mechanical Engineer designs, develops, prototypes, and tests all aspects of mechanical components, equipment, and machinery. Develops specifications for new parts or prototypes. Uses CAD software and other design and modeling tools to develop and improve parts and products. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Mechanical Engineer work is closely managed. Works on projects/matters of limited complexity in a support role. Responsibilities for Mechanical Engineer- Develop and maintain technical documentation for all the product lines
- Perform engineering calculations to support design work
- Create and review technical drawings, plans, and specifications using computer software
- Collaborate with production and operation in order to implement effective quality control procedures for all production sites
- Ensure project timeline is met and support sales on technical aspects
- Internal and external support with technical info on product line,
- Installation coordination (on site and/or remotely), training, support
- Trade show booth duty
- CNC mill and fabric plotter machine program development, training
Qualifications for Mechanical Engineer- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or in a related field
- 2-5 years of experience working in engineering
- Experience using CAD software such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar
- Exceptional technical and problem-solving skills and reasoning ability
- Ability to communicate effectively and clearly
- Must be self-motivated and a great team worker
