  • REGENT
  • North, RI FULL_TIME
  • REGENT is building the seaglider; the first electric flying machine that will transport commercial passengers. With a vehicle that never flies higher than a few meters off the water, we unlock the ability to fly twice as far as an electric aircraft, and certification by maritime authorities which will let us fly first passengers by mid-decade.

We are backed by the world’s best investors: the same investors who are behind SpaceX, Anduril, and Boom Supersonic, in addition to strategic investors like Lockheed Martin, Japan Airlines, and Hawaiian Airlines. We have over $8B in orders from some of the industry’s largest operators and are hard at work getting our full-scale, human-carrying prototype on the water next year.

As a Mechanical Engineer at REGENT, you will work to develop various static and kinematic systems.

Candidates should be experienced in the entire prototype development cycle from concept design and analysis through fabrication, integration and testing.

    • Candidates with additional experience in electrical engineering will be highly valued as many of the mechanical systems are tightly coupled and interface with electrical components for control and feedback.
    • You will work closely with various engineering disciplines and must have an understanding and appreciation for requirements management, verification and validation efforts, and general interaction and functionality of other subsystems and their integration into the vehicle as a whole.
    • This role may evolve into a leadership role and progress to support future product development.
