Description:
• Design and develop automated machinery
Monitor and improve efficiency, output and safety of manufacturing processes through observations and measurements as well as collecting and interpreting data from other technical and operating personnel
• Develop and execute project plans to schedule for work activities coordinating across multiple functions and departments
• Troubleshoot and debug equipment
• Update and maintain technical documents and specifications
• Learn Lean Production Strategy across multiple Value Streams
• Support the preventive maintenance process of key production equipment
• Provide manufacturing team with technical engineering expertise supporting day-to-day production issues.
• Ensure successful transitioning of new products from product development to production; Develop and/or improve assembly fixtures in support of development and production of products
• Responsible for development of manufacturing processes, maximizing efficiency by analyzing layout of equipment, workflow, manufacturing & assembly methods and work force utilization
• Create Standard Operating Procedures, training operators and maintenance personnel on such procedures. Collaborate with production to ensure processes and effectively and consistently executed.
• Determines tooling, fixtures and equipment needed in order to achieve optimal output
• Confer with R&D Engineering, Production/Manufacturing, Quality and Planning teams to determine project specifications and procedures
• Assesses manufacturability of product with R&D Engineering
• Participate in design reviews and approval phases
• Evaluate tooling or equipment requirements to support production/manufacturing
• Support design changes of product once it enters production
• Assist in the development of inspection criteria with Quality Control
• Support of Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA) activities associated with development and production/ manufacturing problems
• Write Engineering Change Orders
• Work with Purchasing to develop and implement technical requirements for suppliers
• Work with cross functional teams to create and maintain methods of manufacturing within ERP system
• Oversee the development, evaluation, improvement and documentation of manufacturing processes.
• Analyze manufacturing processes using lean manufacturing tools and concepts in order to improve quality, efficiency, and reduce waste.
• Analyze staffing requirements, production times, and costs to provide data for operational decisions.
• Write qualification documents for new equipment and processes
