Uses CAD software and other design and modeling tools to develop and improve parts and products. Additionally, Mechanical Engineer conducts analysis and tests to determine weaknesses and failures in prototypes or products. Requires a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Mechanical Engineer work is closely managed. Works on projects/matters of limited complexity in a support role. Mechanical engineers need to be technically minded, able to demonstrate numerical and scientific ability and have problem-solving skills.

Work Condition
A Mechanical Engineer at Hydrafab has a working condition that is normal for a repair and manufacturing environment. The work involves acting as a Hydraulic Mechanic, Machinist, Welder Fabricator, and Mechanical Engineer. He/she operates heavy equipments and requires the use of safety equipment such as safety glasses, hearing protectors, and work boots. Ear protectors are in the supply room and it is your responsibility to wear them.
A lot of hydraulic maintenance is performed with heavy and unique tools. The Mechanical Engineer operates hydraulic systems at pressures 10,000 PSI. Steel toe boots are required.
