Mechanical Engineering Manager manages a team of mechanical engineers designing parts, engines, tools, or other mechanical equipment and industrial processes. Designs, scopes, and develops new mechanical engineering initiatives and projects, and manages them through their life cycles. Being a Mechanical Engineering Manager helps establish programs to support training, process improvements, and the creation and maintenance of best practices and protocols. Interfaces with other departments to identify new potential products and projects. Additionally, Mechanical Engineering Manager requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The Mechanical Engineering Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Mechanical Engineering Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required.     ESTIMATED PAY RANGE
    $60,000 - $80,000

    JOB SUMMARY
    As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you may be tasked with:
    part and assembly 3D modeling; study and analysis; new line layout for production, welding support, hydraulics support, assembly setup and integration, tooling design, manufacturing safety analyses and process implementation, process documentation, efficient material and information flow for production, writing work instructions, and working collaboratively with suppliers and other Applied partners.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Mechanical or Agricultural Engineering required
    • Mechanical experience, personal or professional, required
    • 3D CAD modeling proficiency required; Creo experience preferred
    • Experience in automotive or agriculture industries, personal or professional, a plus
