Job Description
As a Mechanical Design Manager, you will design and build custom sheet metal structures for custom electrical switchgear projects and LEC products. Working closely with customer requirements, in house electrical engineers and our production teams to create clever, cost effective power distribution solutions. In addition, you will manage the mechanical side of the LEC engineering team. Ensuring the team functions well and is properly equipped to meet UL and customer requirements.
RESPONSIBILITIES
o Assist with any sheet metal or busbar design changes on products during construction
o Liaison between our Mechanical Design team and the sheet metal and busbar production teams
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:
· Associates or Bachelor of Engineering degree a positive. Not required.
· Sheet metal design experience 5 years. Bonus if it’s in the Power industry.
· Experience leading teams. Must have had direct reports.
· Effectively used an ERP/MRP system.
