Oversees prototype testing to evaluate the performance, reliability, and safety of mechanical systems and reviews data and analysis to develop improvements. Additionally, Mechanical Engineering Manager manages engineering projects through their entire lifecycle, including cost and requirement analysis, scheduling, and coordinating activities with stakeholders. Establishes programs to support training, process improvements, and best practices and protocols. Leads initiatives with other departments to identify potential products and projects. Stays abreast of new technologies and processes and implements changes to improve the organization's mechanical engineering capabilities. Requires a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering. What You’ll Bring A minimum of 12 years of experience in designing facility mechanical systems including water, chilled water, wastewater, HVAC, cooling towers/condensers, boiler/steam, hot water, or compressed air (manufacturing facility experience preferred) 2 years' experience as an engineering manager or mechanical department manager preferred. Director, principal, or regional leader, experience is a plus. An understanding of refrigeration design with ammonia, freon, CO2, dehumidification, and other custom plumbing systems for manufacturing facilities in the food, beverage, consumer goods and life science sectors (preferred) A solid foundation in interpersonal dynamics, mentorship, leadership, and outstanding communication and organizational skills. A proven proficiency in the art of technical writing, ensuring clear and concise documentation. Expertise in employing industry-standard tools such as Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks, Bluebeam, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft Excel to craft innovative solutions. Proficiency in software dedicated to the design and analysis of building HVAC systems, showcasing your technical prowess. A readiness to relocate to our local area, underscored by the provision of relocation assistance for highly qualified candidates.
