Mechanical Engineering Supervisor oversees the designing of engines, tools, and other mechanical equipment and industrial processes. Also responsible for supervising the production, operation, repair and maintenance of equipment. Being a Mechanical Engineering Supervisor may work with other engineering departments to aid in the development and usage of robotics to improve productivity. A level I supervisor is considered a working supervisor with little authority for personnel actions. Additionally, Mechanical Engineering Supervisor may require a bachelor's degree in area of specialty. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. Working team member that may validate or coordinate the work of others on a support team. Suggests improvements to process, is a knowledge resource for other team members. Minimum Qualifications
• Education –Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related area.
• State approved license preferred.
• 3 years experience on live construction site.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
• Experience with construction related documentation, submittals, drawings, reports, etc.
• Experience with subcontractor procurement and contract administration.
• In-depth knowledge of construction industry regulations.
• Microsoft office (Word, Outlook, Excel) and PDF experience.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD.
• Exceptional analytical, critical thinking, time management, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
