Mechanical Engineering Supervisor jobs in Missouri
Mechanical Engineering Supervisor oversees the designing of engines, tools, and other mechanical equipment and industrial processes. Also responsible for supervising the production, operation, repair and maintenance of equipment. Being a Mechanical Engineering Supervisor may work with other engineering departments to aid in the development and usage of robotics to improve productivity. A level I supervisor is considered a working supervisor with little authority for personnel actions. Additionally, Mechanical Engineering Supervisor may require a bachelor's degree in area of specialty. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. Working team member that may validate or coordinate the work of others on a support team. Suggests improvements to process, is a knowledge resource for other team members. In addition, this role will include coordination with other support disciplines, and coordination with regional offices. Assisting project managers in management of projects. Following quality assurance and quality control plans.Periodic travel to project sites will be required.Abilities and attributes needed for this position:- Knowledge of mechanical engineering and sustainability principles
- Utilizing BIM design software to produce construction drawings
- Utilize Microsoft Excel based calculation tools for design calculations
- Manage multiple assignments concurrently
- Be responsible for time management and product quality
- Keep accurate and up-to-date project accounting on all assigned projects
- Follow Quality Assurance and Quality Control Plans
- Be responsible for continuing education and learning based on project needs, as well as overall needs of the team
Requirements- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or architectural engineering with a mechanical focus from an ABET accredited university or college.
- Minimum of 3 years of building design and construction industry experience
- Must have a knowledge base of mechanical engineering principals related to building mechanical designs
- Must have strong communication skills
- Experience with Autodesk Revit
- Must be proficient with MS Office Suite
Preferred Skills- Passed the Fundamentals of Engineering exam
- Experience with Autodesk AutoCAD
- IES Virtual Environment
- Experience with AIA MasterSpec
