Mechanical Engineering Supervisor oversees the designing of engines, tools, and other mechanical equipment and industrial processes. Also responsible for supervising the production, operation, repair and maintenance of equipment. Being a Mechanical Engineering Supervisor may work with other engineering departments to aid in the development and usage of robotics to improve productivity. A level I supervisor is considered a working supervisor with little authority for personnel actions. Additionally, Mechanical Engineering Supervisor may require a bachelor's degree in area of specialty. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. Working team member that may validate or coordinate the work of others on a support team. Suggests improvements to process, is a knowledge resource for other team members. Requirements:
Pursuing a bachelor’s degree with a minimal 3.0 GPA in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline. Rising Junior or Senior level student. Proficiency in MS Office Suite. Ability to learn engineering software as needed to perform specific tasks as assigned by engineers. Excellent oral and written communication skills required to interact with internal and external contacts. Previous hands-on experience with machining / design, laboratory experimentation, data acquisition systems and / or coding preferred.
