Mechanical Engineering Supervisor jobs in Troy, NY

We are looking to add a Supervisor Engineering Support to our CAD team. The Supervisor will coordinate the work assignments for producing and maintaining Engineering Documents such as Engineering Drawing Files and Electronic Turnover Documentation. You will support Engineers and Engineering contractors through a variety of tasks including providing Engineering Document coordination, assisting with audit preparedness, supporting capital projects and planned changes.

As a Supervisor Engineering Support, a typical day might include the following:

• Ensuring training, development, guidance, support and compliance of CAD team.
• Coordinating work assignments associated with creating, modifying, or retiring of Engineering Drawing Files as part of capital projects, planned changes, and periodic field verification.
• Managing drawing-related aspects of capital projects and planned changes to process equipment, utility systems, and site infrastructure.
• Operating as CAD Subject Matter Expert.
• Supporting incoming requests and project creations for Engineering Support as well as inspection readiness in preparation of and throughout regulatory inspections.
• Coordinating with outside contractors and Architectural & Engineering Firms to confirm and issue Engineering Drawing File numbers and ensuring alignment with Engineering Drawing Standards.
• Supporting maintenance of the Engineering Drawing File Periodic Field Verification Program and the Electronic Turnover Document Program.
• Ensuring on-site and off-site contractors are provided with appropriate Engineering Documents (design documents, P&IDs, specifications, etc.) required for successful project execution.
• Performing monthly and yearly performance review meetings with employees.

Applicants ideally should have a BA/BS and 5 years of relevant experience. Additional related experience may be substituted for educational requirement. Experience with biopharmaceutical equipment or manufacturing is helpful but not required.
