Mechanical Engineering Supervisor oversees the designing of engines, tools, and other mechanical equipment and industrial processes. Also responsible for supervising the production, operation, repair and maintenance of equipment. Being a Mechanical Engineering Supervisor may work with other engineering departments to aid in the development and usage of robotics to improve productivity. A level I supervisor is considered a working supervisor with little authority for personnel actions. Additionally, Mechanical Engineering Supervisor may require a bachelor's degree in area of specialty. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. Working team member that may validate or coordinate the work of others on a support team. Suggests improvements to process, is a knowledge resource for other team members. Operational Responsibilities-
Use of computer aided design to assist in design and drafting. Prepare and update engineering drawings for use in a production setting. Complete documentation of any project involvement.
Supports manufacturing and assembly of current production machines utilizing engineering change orders to resolve build issues in a timely manner.
Required Education, Professional Qualifications and Experience
Associate Degree in Mechanical Drafting and Design
Years of Experience – 2-4 years of experience
Nature of Experience –Creo and AutoCad
Experience working with Mechanical and or Electrical Assemblies that should include creating models, assembly layouts, bill of materials, and production drawings.
Maintain bill of materials and use standardization of parts.
Knowledge of the SAP and Teamcenter systems preferred.

Work Environment-Office with some Shop Support located in Hico, WV
