Mechanical Engineering Technician assists mechanical engineers in the planning and testing of mechanical components, equipment, and machinery, such as engines, instruments, controls, robots, machines, etc. Helps prepare proposals and cost estimates. Estimates work load to establish completion dates. Being a Mechanical Engineering Technician requires a high school diploma or its equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Mechanical Engineering Technician may require 0-1 year of general work experience. Possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. Position
CEMS Engineering, Inc. is looking to hire a Mechanical Engineer with MEP experience. The engineer should have experience on the design and layout of building HVAC and/or mechanical systems. The individual will be responsible for serving as the senior technical engineer working on a wide variety of complex steam, chilled water, and large air handling systems for complex building facility projects. Candidates should have a sound technical foundation and have strong communication skills. The engineer should have the ability to work independently and take initiative. Individuals need not be local.
Job Location
This position is located in our Summerville, SC office, which is 20 minutes from downtown Charleston.
Minimum Qualifications
- BS in Mechanical Engineering, or related Engineering discipline.
- 5 years of experience.
- Licensed Professional Engineer
- Prior experience working as a mechanical MEP engineer on building or facilities projects
- Strong communication skills
Desired qualifications:
DoD Experience is considered a plus. Experience in Revit MEP is also a plus.
