Mechanical Engineering Technician assists mechanical engineers in the planning and testing of mechanical components, equipment, and machinery, such as engines, instruments, controls, robots, machines, etc. Helps prepare proposals and cost estimates. Estimates work load to establish completion dates. Being a Mechanical Engineering Technician requires a high school diploma or its equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Mechanical Engineering Technician may require 0-1 year of general work experience. Possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job.     Responsibilities:

    • 4 years of experience in a similar role
    • Complete performance of mechanical engineering tasks by designing and drafting; HVAC load calculations, sizing equipment, duct-work, and piping
    • Processing drawings and RFI's, and conducting site visits during the construction phase
    • Performing computer economic analysis of alternate HVAC systems
    • Assure systems and product quality and maintain products by regulations
    Qualifications

    Required Qualifications, Knowledge, and Experience:
    1. Accredited bachelor’s degree in mechanical or architectural engineering
    2. Practical Revit experience
    3. A minimum of 4 years of experience in the architectural engineering consulting environment
    4. Demonstrated success in project design, time management, and technical / formal communication skills
    5. Proven experience performing the responsibilities of an Engineer I (Mechanical)


    Preferred Qualifications, Knowledge, and Experience
    1. PE or in the process of preparing for exam
