Paducah Gaseous Diffusion Plant is search of a committed individual with a background in Mechanical Engineering to join their team. The selected candidate will be actively engaged in a diverse range of projects, which include, but are not limited to, HVAC design, material staging area support, and utility optimization. Reporting to the Engineering Manager/Lead, the engineer will assume a pivotal role in the review and technical assessment of design packages, engineering calculations, and related tasks.
- Provide engineering support for C-720 HVAC design project.
- Assist with C-333 Material Staging Area project.
- Contribute to engineering solutions for Alternative Negative Air Sources.
- Evaluate pump usage, utility isolations, airgap activities, and utility optimization work.
- Support procurement activities for various projects, including estimates and Bills of Material.
- Review and update system components/items for input into the Configuration Management System.
- Review and enhance work instructions, procedures, and processes.
Minimum of a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited institution.
7-10 years of experience in designing systems in an industrial plant environment, energy industry, or similar fields.
Professional Engineer (PE) certification is preferred, especially for candidates with experience in the Four Rivers Nuclear Partnership.
Working Hours: Monday through Thursday, 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with exceptions for holidays, administrative closings, or emergencies.
