Mechanical Engineering Technician assists mechanical engineers in the planning and testing of mechanical components, equipment, and machinery, such as engines, instruments, controls, robots, machines, etc. Helps prepare proposals and cost estimates. Estimates work load to establish completion dates. Being a Mechanical Engineering Technician requires a high school diploma or its equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Mechanical Engineering Technician may require 0-1 year of general work experience. Possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. Ideal Candidate will be able to diagnose and perform daily service calls at facilities/plants in central Florida and around the state on, but not limited to; Split Systems, Refrigeration, Air-Cooled Chillers, Water-Cooled Chillers, Cooling Towers, Pumps, RTU’s, Compressors, Boilers, etc. Provide maintenance support as necessary to ensure operational objectives are met. This role will require to work nights and weekends periodically.
