As a CNC Set-Up Operator, you will be responsible for setting up and operating computer numeric controlled (CNC) lathe and/or mill equipment. Your role will involve producing precision parts from various materials. The ideal candidate will have experience with operating CNC machinery and possess a strong understanding of precision measuring instruments.
Duties:
- Set up and operate CNC machines such as lathes, milling machines, and presses according to specifications
- Read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints
- Use precision measuring instruments to ensure accuracy of parts
- Program machines using software
- Perform quality checks using micrometers and GD&T principles
- Maintain equipment by conducting regular inspections and troubleshooting
- Collaborate with team members to meet production goals
Qualifications:
- Proficiency in operating CNC machinery
- Proficient in interpreting technical drawings and CNC controls
- Experience with precision measuring instruments like micrometers
- Knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing)
- Ability to work with lathes, milling machines, and presses
- Ability to work effectively within a team environment
