Estimates work load to establish completion dates. Being a Mechanical Engineering Technician requires a high school diploma or its equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Mechanical Engineering Technician may require 0-1 year of general work experience. Possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. Our South Bend, Indiana plant is looking for their next Engineering Technician! The Engineering Technician provides technical support for the responsibilities of the Engineering Department. Provides assistance to the engineering staff to execute tasks that increases the department output. The work has both repetitive and unique tasks related to products or processes that the Engineering Department is working on. The Engineering Technician is a skilled resource utilized to maintain/improve all processes that ensure the production and distribution goals of the organization are met.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
High School Diploma or GED preferred or any combination of education, training and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position. Higher education and/or training in time studies, data analysis, document changes, process flow, and continuous improvement activities is considered a plus.
