Media Buyer is responsible for maximizing the impact of advertising campaigns. Coordinates the development and execution of media and advertising plans that support the client's overall marketing strategy, tactics, message, and objectives. Being a Media Buyer uses analytics to design innovative strategies to ensure the client's marketing campaigns reach the target audience. Negotiates media buys, pricing, and media placement scheduling with vendors. Additionally, Media Buyer collaborates with stakeholders and vendors to execute plans and control pacing, optimization, and timelines for campaigns. Conducts research on new media strategies, platforms, and channels to utilize for future campaigns or ongoing campaign evolvement. Typically requires a bachelor's degree in area of specialty. Typically reports to a manager. The Media Buyer work is generally independent and collaborative in nature. Contributes to moderately complex aspects of a project. Buyer/Purchasing opportunity in Greensburg, Indiana! Location is in a safe, small-town area!
Description: Responsible for coordinating and executing the procurement of commodities (components and materials) for use in manufacturing/production environment.
Duties include:
Develop good working relationships with assigned Supplier base
Issue Requests for Quotation (RFQ) and negotiate final pricing with suppliers for production components.
Process Purchase Requisitions and issue Purchase Orders as needed.
Work with R&D to identify Value Added/Value Engineering (VAVE) opportunities to help drive product costs down.
Negotiate Purchase Price Variance (PPV) reductions with Suppliers to help achieve departmental targets.
Become familiar with company purchase contract requirements, payment terms and non-disclosure agreements (NDA).
Support of R&D, QA, Production Control or Production Engineering requests to address supplier concerns or component issues.
Prepare reports as necessary.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Education:
AAS & 4 years hands on Purchasing experience in an Automotive manufacturing environment
Must Requirements:
Demonstrated negotiation skills
Practical experience with MS Word, Excel & PowerPoint
Effectively communicate both verbally and written
Knowledge of production supply-base is a plus
On-site position 5 days per week
Preferred Requirements:
BS Degree and 3 years automotive parts related experience
