Negotiates media buys, pricing, and media placement scheduling with vendors. Additionally, Media Buyer collaborates with stakeholders and vendors to execute plans and control pacing, optimization, and timelines for campaigns. Conducts research on new media strategies, platforms, and channels to utilize for future campaigns or ongoing campaign evolvement. Typically requires a bachelor's degree in area of specialty. Typically reports to a manager. The Media Buyer work is generally independent and collaborative in nature. Contributes to moderately complex aspects of a project. Job Summary
The Integrated Media Buyer is responsible for buying execution, optimization, and reporting phases of media-client deliverables. This person plays a role in bringing to life multimedia, fully integrated strategies for potential and existing clients. Efforts include understanding strategic media direction, providing tactical recommendations, setting achievable goals based on client objectives, monitoring campaigns for success and generating results reports. The Integrated Media Buyer builds and buys media plans, constructs presentations, and oversees that the media strategy is executed to campaign goals. The Integrated Media Buyer is a catalyst for strategic thinking and placement of media on client projects as well as a liaison between other agency departments.
