    Position: Casting Coordinator

    Type: Full Time

    Location: Old Saybrook, CT

    Position Summary: Tantor Media, Inc. is a rapidly growing audiobook company and currently has openings for a Casting Coordinator. Candidates must be able to conduct work as-needed per business needs out of the Tantor Media headquarters in Old Saybrook, CT. This is a full-time non-exempt position (40 hours weekly) and will report directly to the Director of Production. Position Responsibilities including but not limited to: The primary responsibility for this role is to support the Director of Production, Casting Director, and Production Manager with the objective of administrative support and coordination of author-narrator projects. Estimated work duties included but not limited to:

    • 50% of time: Author-narration coordination within per-project parameters set by Director ofProduction, Casting Director, and/or Production Manager.
    • Coordinate author recordings with publisher network and acquisitions team, under approvalfrom Director of Production, Casting Director, and/or Production Manager.
    • Generate and issue narration contracts to author-narrators, escalating as-needed tomanagement for resolution for any requests to the boilerplate agreement.
    • Liaise with partner recording studios for author-narrator projects (recording sessionscheduling, invoicing).
    • Run weekly reports on author-narrator projects for the purpose of timely statusupdates, manuscript check-ins, and contact information/budget research.
    • Utilize creative and diplomatic solutions to difficult projects.
    • 50% of time: Assist Director of Production, Casting Director, and Production Manager with administrativeduties, including but not limited to database entry, narration contract generation, production research(pronunciations, script clarifications), new narrator set-up in data systems, and supporting the narrationinvoice process.

    Qualifications:

    • 4-year degree in English, Communications, Journalism or other related fields or experience inaudiobook/publishing field
    • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
    • Experience in the areas of project support, production coordination, or related administrative fields
    • Highly Organized, motivated self-starter with a constant desire to meet and exceed goals
    • Ability to work independently and effectively with internal departments and external contacts (narrators,authors, publishers, industry professionals), using diplomacy and creative solutions when problem-solving
    • Ability to work effectively and maintain consistent professionalism in a deadline driven environment
    • Strong focus and multitasking ability, including ability to sit and read from a computer screenfor 8 consecutive hours per day
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
