Media Design Manager jobs in Houston, TX

The Media Manager will be responsible for developing and implementing effective media strategies to promote various brands. You will manage the creation of engaging video, social media, blog, and other written content to drive engagement and growth.

The Media Manager will be responsible for working directly with ownership to advance the following media properties and brands:

• Jack Duffley
• Duffley Law
• Punch Card Investing
• House Hack Help
• Educational alternatives niche blog
• Other niche blogs and brands

For the foreseeable future, the main focus will be on the Jack Duffley and Duffley Law brands.

WHAT ARE THESE BRANDS?

The brands you will be working on typically revolve around finance, law, investing, real estate, and related topics.

Most of the content will be educational. A great piece of content will leave a viewer informed and entertained, but clearly communicating helpful information will be the first objective in most cases.

The ultimate goal is to help more people. By helping more people, brand image improves. And with improved brand image, opportunities expand.

RESPONSBILITIES

• Develop ideas for videos and blog articles for future content
• Edit, or oversee the editing, of video and written content
• Film video content in person
• Coordinate podcast appearances
• Coordinate video collaborations
• Post on various social media platforms (i.e. YouTube, Instagram, Twitter, TikTok, etc.)
• Draft and edit blog articles
• Develop and execute monetization strategies for our content
• Review analytics to inform content decisions

The main responsibilities for this role may change overtime.

MINIMUM CONTENT OUTPUT

Our goal is to dramatically increase our content output:

• 21 pieces of video content published per week (mix between short and long form)
• 5 blog articles published per week
• 1 podcasts published per week

We will look to bring in additional outside support to expand output and ease the burden on the Media Manager, including video editors and writers as appropriate. That said, the Media Manager will be ultimately responsible for delegating and monitoring those tasks.

• Excellent writer
• Clear communicator
• Willingness to pivot responsibilities as operations change and grow

LOCATION

This role is based in Houston, TX and will include a significant physical attendance requirement based on filming and content production needs. However, most work can be done remotely.
