The Media Design Manager typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. To be a Media Design Manager typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience. Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments. Candidates must embrace the mission of California Baptist University and evidence a clear understanding of, and commitment to, excellence in teaching, scholarship, and service through the integration of the Christian faith and learning.Pay Range QualificationsA terminal degree in the field, or closely related discipline, is preferred. Candidates working toward a terminal degree, or who have significant experience in the field, may be considered. Candidates must embrace the mission of California Baptist University, and evidence a clear understanding of, and commitment to, excellence in teaching through the integration of Christian faith. Successful candidates will have a history of quality University teaching experience and demonstrated relational skills.Teaching ResponsibilitiesStrong candidates will embrace and embody “active teaching” methods, including, but not limited to the following CBU online education requirements for instructors:
- Creating weekly video or audio lectures embedded in each weekly module (CBU supports and equips faculty with access to Kaltura video content manager).
- Creating at least 1x weekly agenda videos and/or descriptive written announcements to engage with and orient students to each week’s agenda and/or assignments.
- Constructive, personalized written comments/feedback on all graded assignments to identify strengths and areas for student improvement.
- Adherence to the university “Regular Effective Contact” policy
- Response to student inquiries within 24 hours.
- Minor assignments to be graded within 3 days of the due date, and major assignments to be graded within 7 days of the due date.
