CUMULUS MEDIA | Westwood One has an immediate opening for a full time Director, Digital Partnerships to support the digital team. We are looking for an energetic and nimble salesperson with a passion for the rapidly growing digital audio industry. You should be a self-starter with a love of engaging audiences through great content. In this critical role, you will be a crucial member of the sales team dedicated to digital brand partnerships with a priority on generating podcast audio revenue via a suite of multi-platform products, including podcasting, streaming, social, events and video. Additionally, you will be charged with generating new business across brands and ad agencies.
Responsibilities:
- Developing and growing the brand partnerships with a priority in the digital audio space with a focus on podcasting, nationally
- Working with current team to identify stakeholders, digital contacts, buyers and strategists within agencies and clients
- Auto and CPG contacts at both clients and agencies
- Targeting and pursuing additional digital agencies to establish mutually beneficial partnerships and strategic campaigns across Westwood One’s integrated suite of digital solutions
- Shaping a digital strategy, identifying revenue opportunities, and unlocking podcast-specific dollars at key agencies and brands
- Working creatively to bring about awareness of online opportunities in synergy with Westwood One’s broadcast teams and strengths
- Utilizing Westwood One’s digital assets to develop and create compelling solution-oriented programs for our clients
- Prospecting and driving new podcast revenue streams for the company as well as expanding our agency and client portfolio with newly developed clients and advertisers'
- Beyond our digital and streaming products, have strong familiarity and become fully-versed in selling both Westwood One and Cumulus’ audio assets (including stations’ websites, live events and social advertising) to deliver a complete marketing solution to advertisers
- Providing accurate and timely reporting on lead generation, account management, pipelines, and forecasting

Qualifications:

A minimum of 7 years digital sales experience with a demonstrable track record for strategic, consultative multi-platform selling
- An ability to exceed revenue and customer acquisition targets on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis
- Strong relationships with digital buyers at brands and national agencies across industry verticals
- An in-depth knowledge of the digital media business and agency partner requirements
- A hunter mentality with a proven ability to generate new business
- Confidence when pitching and closing business to senior-level executives and clients
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
- To be a proven team player with the ability to work well with key members of other departments
- Sophistication to sell comprehensive multi-platform marketing solutions
- To be technologically savvy with a proficiency for sophisticated advertising programs and delivery methodologies
- Ability to multi-task, meet deadlines, and thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment.
