Manages the billboard sale process for specific markets.

Essential Job Functions and Tasks- These essential functions include, but are not limited to, the following. Additional essential functions may be identified and included by the hiring department.

• Prospect for new clients setting appointments for phone and in-person meeting in assigned markets
• Research specific areas and/or other media or competitors to target unsold inventory.
• Procures new sales by assisting potential customers with billboard availability, sending proposals and contracts, negotiating contract terms, and arranging payments. Follow up on all leads.
• Manages current accounts by rolling over expiring contracts and up selling where needed.
• Works with graphic designers to organize design of billboards. Ensure billboards are printed correctly, to customer specifications, and posted by the promised time.
• Conducts market rides as needed, \using personal vehicle, in assigned markets.
• Works with operations to ensure signs are in the best condition.
• Assist with the collection process. Contact customers for payments and submit legal collections, as needed.
• Attends weekly market and business development meetings.
• Performs similar or related duties as required or assigned.

Work Environment This work environment is an office-like setting with moderate noise. 

Requirements

High school diploma (or equivalent) is required plus two years of related experience; including high-level administrative duties and account management/reporting.
Five years of related experience preferred.

Media sales experience a plus

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities  

Intermediate knowledge and skill of:

• Microsoft Windows environment.
• Internet browsers.
• Outlook

Must possess great attention to detail, strong organization skills, and strong written/verbal communication skills.

Customer Service skills.

Outside Sales experience, a plus.

Understanding of basic media planning terminology and concepts, a plus.

Knowledge of Out of Home Dictionary or willingness to learn, a plus.

Ability to:

• Cold call and prospect for new clients
• Plan and organize work
• Handle multiple projects at once
• Meet tight deadlines under pressure
• Manage heavy inbox workload efficiently
• Work independently and as part of a team
• Travel long distances via automobile
