POSITION SUMMARY: Moravian University seeks a creative, highly driven, and results-oriented Social and Digital Media Manager who can set a leading example among top colleges on social media impact. This team member will build an innovative, dynamic, and strategically oriented approach to social media that engages our diverse constituencies and maximizes the benefits of these media platforms to expand Moravian's reach and reputation.
The Social and Digital Media Manager is responsible for advancing the social media strategy for Moravian University and managing content on its flagship social media channels. In addition to playing a key role on the Marketing and Communications team, this position will foster collaborative relationships with colleagues and departments across campus, as well as manage and mentor a talented team of student content creators. The Social and Digital Media Manager will act as a consultative resource for those managing social media platforms for undergraduate and graduate admissions, the School of Professional Studies & Innovation, Moravian Theological Seminary and Lancaster Theological Seminary. The Social and Digital Media Manager will also generate search optimized content for the website by gathering news and information, producing special stories, and collecting/taking photos and video.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
QUALIFICATIONS: A baccalaureate degree in an appropriate field; two or more years of experience in electronic marketing and media development; proven writing and social media experience, including appropriate programming and computer skills; the capacity to work with colleagues as a member of a team; requires the ability to work evenings and occasional weekends. Must be creative and energetic.
