Media Planner is responsible for maximizing the impact of advertising campaigns. Coordinates the development and execution of media and advertising plans that support the client's overall marketing strategy, tactics, message, and objectives. Being a Media Planner uses analytics to design innovative strategies to ensure the client's marketing campaigns reach the target audience. Negotiates media buys, pricing, and media placement scheduling with vendors. Additionally, Media Planner collaborates with stakeholders and vendors to execute plans and control pacing, optimization, and timelines for campaigns. Conducts research on new media strategies, platforms, and channels to utilize for future campaigns or ongoing campaign evolvement. Typically requires a bachelor's degree in area of specialty. Typically reports to a manager. The Media Planner occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. Gaining exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. We currently have an exciting opportunity in our Lagging Shop. This position specifically is located in Norfolk, Virginia. We are looking for a Planner, the work schedule is 0530-0245.

Security Clearance : No Clearance ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND PURPOSE (Job Description)
The shop planner is responsible for d eveloping (prepare/write/revise), issuing and distributing assigned planning documents, procedures and work items in accordance with all applicable instructions, directives and procedures.
POSITION DEMANDS (Education/Training/Experience)
Typically has a BA/BS in a related field, or AA/AS plus two (2) years’ directly related experience, or six (6) years’ directly related experience. Must be familiar with working in a naval ship yard environment and be able to work aboard marine vessels, climb ladders, work in tanks and confined spaces, and wear personal protective equipment. Must have working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel Must possess expert ability to effectively communicate with other disciplines or groups and resolve planning conflicts. Must possess the ability to read drawings, blueprints, standard items, and specifications of work items. Must have a working knowledge of NMD Planning and Execution Modules.

WORKING RELATIONSHIPS
This position reports to shop supervisor or foreman. This position develops and maintains a positive working relationship with others and supports a team approach in the pursuit of common company goals.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Conduct Ship-Checks as required Integrate, review and validate planning process with primary parties and government affiliations on a weekly basis to ensure compliance. Prepare advanced planning reports for dissemination to government for processing Conduct meeting to inform key personnel of planning updates Work closely with Estimators to ensure all information is represented appropriately to produce an integrated planning schedule. Other duties as assigned

Responsible for effective, efficient and safe accomplishment of all assigned tasks.

UNIQUE/ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
Regular reliable attendance onsite is an essential function of this position. Must have reliable transportation. Must qualify for a DBIDS badge. Must be able to access all work locations, including government and private ship yards and/or vessels. Must have reliable record of attendance and punctuality and be available for overtime as required. Must be able to physically transit all areas of the facility. Regularly required to sit, use hands and fingers, handle or feel objects or control, and to talk and hear. Must have good eye/hand coordination. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Must be familiar with working in a naval ship work environment and be able to go aboard marine vessels and the drydock, climb ladders, work in tanks and confined spaces, and wear personal protective equipment. These areas can be dirty, dusty, hot or cold, and noisy
