- Global Automotive BU Strategy
- Establishment of an effective controlling system in order to track and to foster the strategy execution process.
- New Product Development and product support activities
- Conducts customer visits to validate development results. Together with Marketing, develops products and assortment-strategies.
- Support of product assortment
- Provides support to the regional plants regarding second supplier projects, continuous improvement (efficiency, material yield), product transfers and supply that supports the global strategy.
- Product Development Lab Leadership
- Manages the lab personnel, assuring compliance to policy and practice that maintains a work environment guided by safety, environmental and quality standards. This includes the development of product components, recipes and production process.
- Intellectual Property
- The job holder is responsible to assure an effective and comprehensive securing of IP regarding new developments in alignment with the respective automotive BU Product Development Managers in Germany and China.
Required Qualifications- MS or PhD in Chemistry/Material Science with three to five (3-5) years of industrial experience, preferably in adhesives products.
- Must possess the ability to work in a multi-disciplinary, international team environment.
- Able and available to travel, including internationally.
