Media Production Director jobs in Kansas
Media Production Director oversees and plans the pre-production, production, and post-production stages of television or web shows, broadcasts, or videos. Completes pre-production processes, including ideation, concept creation, casting, script writing, budgeting, specifications, and scheduling. Being a Media Production Director defines and organizes the technical and logistical resources required for each production. Assembles the required team of production specialists for each production's camera, sound, lighting, and other functions. Additionally, Media Production Director directs post-production editing operations. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to top management. The Media Production Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. To be a Media Production Director typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function. Responsibilities:
- Drive station vehicles in the Topeka area to expose station brands
- Interact with listeners to create a positive community with our stations
- Assisting the Promotions/Marketing Department
- Including creating e-blasts, graphics, social media posts & website posts
- Set-up of station events – including pop-up tent, banners, table, tablecloth, etc.
- Running the audio board in a radio station control room to broadcast sports play by play
- Perform other projects and duties as assigned

- Must be 18 years of age or older with a High School Diploma or GED
- Must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Able to work up to 20 hours/week
- Friendly and outgoing personality a must
- Demonstrated experience using audio editors such as Reaper and Office products
- MUST be willing to learn new skills
- MUST be available nights and weekends
- All new hires must be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 by date of hire, subject to legally-mandated accommodations
