Media Production Director jobs in Lubbock, TX

Media Production Director oversees and plans the pre-production, production, and post-production stages of television or web shows, broadcasts, or videos. Completes pre-production processes, including ideation, concept creation, casting, script writing, budgeting, specifications, and scheduling. Being a Media Production Director defines and organizes the technical and logistical resources required for each production. Assembles the required team of production specialists for each production's camera, sound, lighting, and other functions. Additionally, Media Production Director directs post-production editing operations. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to top management. The Media Production Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. To be a Media Production Director typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function.     • Composes and frames camera shots, applying the technical aspects of light, lenses and camera settings to achieve the effects sought by directors

    • Operates remote cameras during live broadcasts
    • Confers with directors and other crew members to discuss sequences, desired effects, camera movements and lighting requirements

    Requirements & Skills :

    • Proficiency with computers, telephones, copiers, scanners, fax machines and other office equipment.
    • Ability to meet deadlines, prioritize assignments and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
