Media Production Director oversees and plans the pre-production, production, and post-production stages of television or web shows, broadcasts, or videos. Completes pre-production processes, including ideation, concept creation, casting, script writing, budgeting, specifications, and scheduling. Being a Media Production Director defines and organizes the technical and logistical resources required for each production. Assembles the required team of production specialists for each production's camera, sound, lighting, and other functions. Additionally, Media Production Director directs post-production editing operations. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to top management. The Media Production Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. Tantor Media, Inc. is a rapidly growing audiobook company and currently has openings for a full-time Audiobook Proofreaders. Candidates must be able to conduct work in the state of CT, both from home, as well as out of the Tantor Media headquarters in Old Saybrook, CT.
Audiobook Proofreaders play a key role in critically analyzing and judging the quality and suitability of audiobook recordings for publication. Successful candidates must be able to consistently apply advanced knowledge about the genre and make consistent judgments related to the continuity of character representation, narrator creative interpretations, accuracy of narration to text, and the sound quality of recordings.
