Assembles the required team of production specialists for each production's camera, sound, lighting, and other functions. Additionally, Media Production Director directs post-production editing operations. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to top management. As the Operations Director, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our seven radio stations. You will lead a team of dedicated professionals across various formats, ensuring seamless coordination and execution to deliver exceptional programming and services.
Key Responsibilities:
· Direct, coach, coordinate and evaluate Programming staff and department operations.
· Ensure seamless on-air operations, including scheduling, programming, and technical support.
· Plan long and short-term programming and promotional strategies. With General Manager, develop operations budget and create strategic plan.
·Coordinate promotions with programming and sales teams.
· Review all on-air network and syndicated programming.
· Manage digital presence of stations in the market, including website and social media site creation and maintenance, content and podcast production, and daily updates to Facebook, Twitter and all other social media accounts.
· Create programming logs and ensure logged commercials, promotions, sweepers and any other programming element essential to the station's operations are aired. Adjust logs as needed.
Requirements
Qualification and skills:
· Bachelor’s degree, 5 years in media, 5 years in a leadership role
· Strategic thinker with strong leadership and coaching skills
· Industry expertise, and a proven ability to drive results in a fast-paced environment
· Innovative approach and experience in growing digital audiences
· Able to communicate vision and execute plans
