Media Production Director oversees and plans the pre-production, production, and post-production stages of television or web shows, broadcasts, or videos. Completes pre-production processes, including ideation, concept creation, casting, script writing, budgeting, specifications, and scheduling. Being a Media Production Director defines and organizes the technical and logistical resources required for each production. Assembles the required team of production specialists for each production's camera, sound, lighting, and other functions. Additionally, Media Production Director directs post-production editing operations. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to top management. The Media Production Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. To be a Media Production Director typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function.     About the Role: The Media Operations Associate assists the print buying team and should be an extremely organized person who pays attention to the details and is able to manage multiple priorities and deadlines. You should also be a quick study and a good communicator. This position reports directly to a Supervisor, Media Buying.

    Core Responsibilities:

    • Work closely with the day-to-day processes of the print media operations and assist team members in the department
    • Reviews all media invoices and resolves any discrepancies
    • Collaborates with clients and media team members to resolve media billing issues
    • Assists in coordination and communication of account information between buying team, planning team and/or client
    • Provides all necessary reporting and ensures client media buys and/or other deliverables are delivered on time and accurately
    • Collaborates with team members to ensure all client needs are met
    • Improve and maintain positive relations with media representatives
    • Stay updated on spot market conditions, price fluctuations, changes in viewing patterns, station changes and media trends
    • Works on several client accounts at the same time, often juggling various projects and deadlines
    • Assist on projects as needed

    Skills and Qualifications:

    • Education or training in a related field such as marketing, advertising, consumer research or other equivalent
    • High comfort level with numbers and constant reporting needs
    • Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced team environment
    • Self-motivated, very detailed oriented and an independent thinker
    • Communicate clearly and effectively to others, written and verbal
    • Success with prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines
    • Has a sense of urgency to obtain results, meets deadlines
    • Handles large volume of work efficiently, effectively and productively
    • Above average Excel knowledge is a must and the most successful candidate will be one who enjoys spending much of their day working in Excel
      • Familiarity with VLOOKUP, INDEX, Pivot Tables and Pivot Charts, etc.
