Media Production Manager manages the planning and execution of the pre-production, production, and post-production stages of television or web broadcasts, shows or videos. Ensures pre-production processes, including ideation, concept creation, casting, script writing, budgeting, specifications, and scheduling are completed. Being a Media Production Manager engages and organizes the technical and logistical resources required for each production. Coordinates the team of production technical specialists for camera, sound, and lighting for each production. Additionally, Media Production Manager facilitates post-production editing operations. Summary: The Digital Media Manager serves as EdVenture’s social media content creator and will support the Museum’s internal marketing needs. Working closely with the leadership team, this position will develop and execute our digital marketing plan. With realistic marketing goals and successful marketing efforts the Digital Media Manager will work toward building community online and in the Museum.
Work Schedule and Conditions: Regular schedule of 40 hours per week in a museum environment. Must be able to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Primary Responsibilities and Duties:
Overseeing all social media channels including Facebook, X, LinkedIn, YouTube, TikTok, and Instagram.
Crafting, editing, and publishing engaging content including reels, static posts, and gifs for various platforms.
Ensuring all digital content aligns with the Museum’s marketing strategy and brand.
Developing and maintaining a monthly social media calendar that mirrors daily museum activities, fundraising initiatives, sponsorship benefits, and educational events.
Collaborating with team members and the Museum’s marketing consultant on new and upcoming content that helps bolster brand awareness and maximizes engagement.
Assisting all departments with the development and distribution of internal marketing material.
Responsible for the Museum’s monthly newsletter for our member base and supporters.
Providing monthly analytic reports to museum leadership that demonstrates the impact and reach of marketing initiatives.
Maintain Museum’s website ensuring information is up to date and accurate.
Serving as photo/videographer for Museum events, social media, and any other visual needs.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Bachelor’s Degree with 3-5 years of social media experience, managing social marketing campaigns or social media accounts.
Detail-oriented and self-motivated.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Basic knowledge of graphic design and video editing tools or software
Good judgment, problem solving, critical thinking and decision-making skills.
Have an extensive knowledge of social media platforms functionality and user experience.
Creative mindset with a passion for staying updated on industry trends.
Ability to work in a collaborative team environment.
