Media Production Manager manages the planning and execution of the pre-production, production, and post-production stages of television or web broadcasts, shows or videos. Ensures pre-production processes, including ideation, concept creation, casting, script writing, budgeting, specifications, and scheduling are completed. Being a Media Production Manager engages and organizes the technical and logistical resources required for each production. Coordinates the team of production technical specialists for camera, sound, and lighting for each production. Additionally, Media Production Manager facilitates post-production editing operations. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Media Production Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Leadership:
Responsible for field team recruiting, hiring, training, performance, incentive program, and reviews.
Manages field teams to execute projects.
Communicates with the Location Manager and Project Coordinators of all field activities.
Listens and communicates with customers and referrals to ensure excellent customer care and service.
Production:
Analyzes all project information to schedule and plan for proper team assignments and efficient production.
Assures production metrics are met.
Follows through with content mitigation, cleaning, and storage.
Identifies open issues, follows through with resolutions, and manages damage costs.
Performs project scope walks.
Responsible for all job documentation in Encircle and SerF.
Performs all other responsibilities assigned by management.
Financial:
Attaining gross margin expectations on every job.
Manages labor costs.
Manages operational supplies and fuel.
Education/Training:
Holds extensive knowledge of content restoration and company processes to communicate effectively with customers, team members, and referrals.
Can demonstrate company standards for content packing, wrapping, and loading to ensure they are executed to provide the utmost care for the content.
Attains the IICRC Contents Processing Certification.
